Under 10 seconds on the Shot Clock. The ball misses the rim completely while it is in the air on a try. The defense is uncontested for the ball, but this is a Shot Clock Violation and needs to be shut down when the ball misses the rim. It does not matter that the defense was likely going to get the ball, the violation kills the play by rule.
