The team in control calls a timeout as the ball travels from the backcourt to the frontcourt. Stoppage of play is with 28 seconds on the shot clock. This is an example of how the shot clock does not change or reset as a result of a timeout. Very basic example, but might clear up confusion for some with a new frontcourt throw-in.
